The first six days of school are half days at MKC due to Family Connection meetings. Different from the student assessments in August, this component of WaKIDS is intended to provide a safe environment for families to meet individually with teachers and establish a partnership to help children be successful in school.
School will begin at 9:05 and end at 11:45 a.m. on September 6-8 and 11-13. Students will eat lunch before they are dismissed, and bussing will be provided. Parents will have the opportunity to confirm how their kindergarteners will be transported home on these six days during Kindergarten Roundup on August 28.
